Our children get to enjoy a wide variety of clubs that run throughout the year and change on a termly basis. They experience a diverse enrichment programme with options such as Street Dance, Mandarin, Arabic, Air Pistol, Coding, Philosophy, Rural Studies, Forest School and Archery that are among a list of new clubs. For younger children there is a popular Gymnastics club incorporated into the programme. Quirkier clubs include Danish Longball, Elms Explorers, Pony Club, Horrible Histories, Life Saving and Stage and Rage.

These clubs, which take place between 17:00 to 17:50, will continue to be delivered by our staff, enhancing the relationships they have with children. Children will receive badges to qualify which club courses they have attended and what has been learned. Meanwhile, our popular Year 4 Humphrey’s Club will continue to run on Saturday, as it has done over the last three years.

Clubs are very much part of The Elms experience and are not seen as a way of occupying children, but are composed to provide a rich extension to their school day.

The table below show an example of the weekly clubs on offer during the evening club times.

“Pupils develop their own interests and talents to a high level through an extremely broad range of extra-curricular opportunities which is extensive for the size of the school.”
