1:1 Learning Support assistant

The Elms is looking for a 1:1 Learning Support assistant to work on a Friday with a Year 3 pupil and on a Saturday with a Year 5 pupil, supporting their needs in collaboration with other Elms staff.

Hours required for this position are: Friday 8.20a.m – 3.50p.m.and Saturday 8.00am – 1.30pm, term time only.

The successful candidate ideally should have:
– Knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs.
– Experience working with children with ASD and complex needs an advantage, but
not essential.
– A willingness to ‘muck in’ and support the pupil when partaking in indoor and
outdoor sports lessons and matches is essential.
– Strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent communication skills.
